IUPS is a non-political and non-geographical scientific organization representing more than 60 physiological societies worldwide. IUPS promotes physiology as a valuable scientific discipline, emphasizing its relevance to medicine and global health. IUPS serves physiologists worldwide by supporting a communication platform that allows international exchange between scientists and scientific societies and fosters global networking of physiologists to support the development of regional infrastructures to improve physiological research and teaching.
